DO YOU PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON LODGE PARK?

Parking on Lodge Park in the evenings is causing a serious issue which is being highlighted regularly at Parish Council Meetings.

If you are blocking a driveway, are parking too close to a junction or not allowing pedestrian or emergency vehicle access then you are breaking the law!

PUBLIC SURVEY LAUNCHED BY NORTHAMPTONSHIRE HEALTH AND CARE PARTNERSHIP

Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership (NHCP) has launched a public survey inviting people across the county to respond and help shape the development of the Northamptonshire Health, Care and Wellbeing Plan. This will be the county's response to the NHS Long Term Plan and will set the direction for the future of health and care in Northamptonshire.

ROADWORKS IN WHITTLEBURY HIGH STREET 9TH - 13TH SEPTEMBER

Cadent Gas will be carrying out roadworks in the High Street between the Fox & Hounds and the turn to Lodge Park between Monday 9th September and Friday 13th September when traffic lights will be in operation and delays will be possible, particularly when the children are arriving and leaving Whittlebury School.

BARN DANCE FRIDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2019

Whittlebury Recreation Society is holding a barn dance in the Reading Room, Whittlebury on Friday 27th September, 6.30pm to 10.45pm. (This is a change of date from 7th September which was advertised previously).

'VOTER REGISTRATION IS QUICK AND EASY'

Since mid-July, SNC has been contacting households and asking people to confirm or update their details on the Electoral Register via a so-called Household Enquiry Form.

Every household is legally required to respond even if there are no changes to the details of the voters at the address and can do so by text message, online, telephone or using the provided self-addressed envelope.

GOOD NEIGHBOUR SCHEME FETE 14TH SEPTEMBER 2019

The Whittlebury Good Neighbour Scheme will be holding a fete on Saturday 14th September 2019, 2.00pm to 5.00pm, on the Reading Room Playing Field. The aim is not only to raise funds for the Scheme but also to enable the village to come together in a late summer communal event.

VILLAGER OF THE YEAR

At the recent annual village meeting, Cheryl Evans was voted Whittlebury's villager of the year for her longstanding work with the Royal British Legion and the village's annual Poppy Appeal.

A richly deserved award and as Cheryl and her husband have now moved to Towcester, the village thanks her for all her work over many years and sends her and Richard every good wish for the future.

New bus service for Whittlebury launched on Wednesday 24th April 209

The attached press release from ABILITY (Northants) cic describes the new bus service for the village that was launched on Wednesday 24th April 2019. Two villagers availed themselves of a lift to Towcester and back that day and it is hoped that more will use the service over the coming weeks.
