CLOSURE OF THE READING ROOM

Due to the newly re-imposed Covid-19 lock down restrictions, the Reading Room will be closed from Thursday 5th November 2020 until further notice. This means that events like The HUG Friday coffee mornings will not take place.

CCTV AND ANPR CAMERAS

The village's CCTV and ANPR cameras normally mounted on a lamp post opposite the old bus shelter on the Towcester Road have been removed temporarily for repair.

OPENING OF THE WHITTLEBURY READING ROOM

Now that the playing field and play equipment are back in use, re-opening of the Reading Room is now under active consideration by the Reading Room Management Committee and further information will become available in due course.

WHITTLEBURY PLAYING FIELD AND PLAY EQUIPMENT NOW RE-OPENED

After extensive preparations including an in depth risk assessment, the Reading Room and Playing Field Management Committee is pleased to confirm that the playing field and the play equipment re-opened on Saturday 11th July 2020. Advisory notices are in place and users are asked to adhere to the advice and constraints listed. Stay safe.

REFORMING WHITTLEBURY'S WI

Many will recall that there used to be a thriving WI in the village which, unfortunately, had to fold about three years ago due, principally, to declining numbers of members.

The Whittlebury Good Neighbour Scheme fete held in stunning early autumn weather on Saturday 14th September was an outstanding success both for the Scheme and the village.
