MEETING ABOUT WNC STRATEGIC PLAN - SPATIAL OPTIONS CONSULTATION

Towcester car park to get new lease of life

The old Co-op car park in Towcester is due to be renamed the Sponne Arcade Short Stay Car Park after South Northants Council (SNC) purchased the land last year.

The Co-op Supermarket off Richmond Road had been unoccupied for some time and SNC were keen to ensure the land remained as a car park offering free parking for residents and visitors.

The Whittlebury Good Neighbour Scheme fete held in stunning early autumn weather on Saturday 14th September was an outstanding success both for the Scheme and the village.

DO YOU PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON LODGE PARK?

Parking on Lodge Park in the evenings is causing a serious issue which is being highlighted regularly at Parish Council Meetings.

If you are blocking a driveway, are parking too close to a junction or not allowing pedestrian or emergency vehicle access then you are breaking the law!

CHANGE OF REGULAR PARISH COUNCIL DATES

From January 2019 the Council will be holding its meetings on the second Thursday of each month excepting August and December when there are no meetings.

Venue - The Reading Room, High Street at 7.30pm.

Members of the public are welcomed at all meetings.
